London City Airport Taxi Transfers
A short time ago I contacted a
variety of airport taxi comapanies and obtained prices for the same trip. ( A journey from Kent to
London City airport) The most expensive quote was £192 and the cheapest was £75. I'm in no doubt you
can think of a more beneficial way to use the difference. Browse around for the best price.
The moment in time you need the taxi can add ££'s to
the cost of your ride! A number of firms will charge extra if you want to be picked up prior to 6 am. Other airport
taxi transfer businesses have the same price daytime or nighttime. The fee can also differ if you need to take a
trip to the airport on Bank Holidays.Good news is that by telephoning a range of businesses will come across a cab
business that will charge you the exact same price 24/7 and save you a lot of cash at the same
time.
Below is a
guide to what you should expect to pay for a single journey taxi transfer to London City airport from all the major
towns in Kent if you shop around.
Ashford to London City airport £75,
Canterbury to London City airport £85, Dover to London City airport £95, Faversham to London City airport £70,
Folkestone to London City airport £85, Gillingham to London City airport £65, Gravesend to London City airport £65,
Herne Bay to London City airport £70, Hythe to London City airport £80, Maidstone to London City airport £60,
Margate to London City airport £100, Ramsgate to London City airport £100, Rochester to London City airport £60,
Sandwich to London City airport £100, Sittingbourne to London City airport £65, Tenterden to London City airport
£75
Is parking included in the
price?
Parking can be costly and you have to pay it!
Ensure when you inquire for a quote that you ask for the fully comprehensive charge including all costs for the
parking or you may have to find an additional £6+ to pay for it yourself.
Baby Seats
Not all airport taxi firms will supply child seats
but some that do won't even charge extra cash for them. I know a lot of parents are uneasy about using child seats
that they are unfamiliar with and would more readily use their own. Some firms will in reality put in safekeeping
your child seat for you in their office whilst you are out of the country and bring it to the airport for you upon
your arrival to the UK. A good little add on that can offer you peace of mind on the journey and one less bulky
item to take on the aircraft.
Airport Inns
?
Now and then checking into an airport lodge the night
ahead of your flight is cheaper than ordering a return taxi! You can park your vehicle at the hotel for the
duration of your holiday or company trip free of charge and their shuttle bus will take you to the airport and pick
you up once more on your homecoming.

City of London
Airport is London’s newest and smallest airport and mainly
caters for the business traveller although leisure passengers are becoming increasingly important to the
airport.
It serves over 30 European destinations and there are
plans in the pipeline for a transatlantic service in the near future.
The airport is located north of the River Thames and can
be reached from Kent via the Blackwall Tunnel or via junction 30 of the M25.
If you shop around you should be able to find a city airport
transfer for about £90 from Ashford
and £100 from Folkestone.
Parking prices are extremely expensive due to the lack
of space and many passengers prefer the convenience of an airport cab journey.
