Luton Airport Taxi Transfers
Recently, I
phoned different airport taxi comapanies and obtained prices for the same trip. ( A journey from Kent to
Luton airport) The most pricey quote was £358 and the cheapest was £97. I'm sure you can think of a better
way to use the difference. Shop around!
The moment in time you want picking up
will add ££'s to the price of your ride!
Several businesses will charge extra
if you want to be collected prior to 6 am. Other airport taxi transfer firms have the same price daytime or
nighttime. The cost can also vary if you require to take a trip to the airport on Bank Holidays.Good news is that by
phoning a range of firms you will find a taxi firm that will charge you the exact same price 24/7 and save you a
great deal of cash in the process.
Below is a guide to what you should expect to
pay for a single taxi transfer journey to Luton airport from all the major towns in Kent if you shop
around.
Ashford to Luton airport £115, Canterbury to Luton
airport £125, Dover to Luton airport £135, Faversham to Luton airport £100, Folkestone to Luton airport £120,
Gillingham to Luton airport £95, Gravesend to Luton airport £95, Herne Bay to Luton airport £110, Hythe to Luton
airport £120, Maidstone to Luton airport £90, Margate to Luton airport £130, Ramsgate to Luton airport £130,
Rochester to Luton airport £90, Sandwich to Luton airport £120, Sittingbourne to Luton airport £95, Tenterden to
Luton airport £115
Is parking included in the
fee?
Parking can be pricey and you don't
have to pay it! Ensure when you ask for a quotation that you ask for the fully all-encompassing charge including
all costs for the parking or you may have to find an additional £5+ to pay for it
yourself.
Child
Seats
Not all airport taxi firms will supply
child seats but some that do will not even charge further cash for them. I appreciate a lot of parents are anxious
about using child seats that they are unfamiliar with and would rather use their own. A few businesses will
actually put in safekeeping your child seat for you in their office while you are out of the country and
transport it to the airport for you upon your return to the UK. A great little add on that can give you peace of
mind on the journey and one less cumbersome item to transfer on the airplane.
Airport Lodges Yes or
No?
Every so often checking into an
airport lodge the night ahead of your flight is less expensive than ordering a return transfer! You can park your
car at the inn for the duration of your vacation or business trip free of cost and their shuttle bus will take you
to the airport and pick you up again on your arrival.

Luton
airport is the fourth largest London international airport and
is located the furthest away from the county of Kent. It can be found by junction 10a of the M1
motorway.
The airport is predominantly used by the low cost
airlines and holiday charter companies flying people to European destinations. Close to 10 million people
travelled through the airport last year.
In theory driving to the airport from Kent should be
trouble free, however drivers should allow ample time for the journey as delays are all too common on the M25
& M1 motorways. Parking at the airport can also be very expensive and many people decide to let an
airport cab take the strain. Expect to pay around £120 each way from Ashford and £150 each way if you
need a taxi to Luton from Margate or Dover.
